Why Us
We’re Bike Experts
Two wheels good! Four wheels not so good….We ride bikes, always have done, always will do.
These bikes are looked after, they’re clean, safe, and dependable.
We wish to ensure that our local community’s bikes are the same. We take pride in looking after your bike as if it were our own.
We’re Local
We are a community-based cycle business, displaying excellent green and CSR credentials and providing the very best levels of service.
We wish to make the business a valued and trusted part of the community and build loyalty and repeat business.
We Keep it Simple
We will keep pricing simple, with four types of services, all clearly labelled and priced and booked in advance via an app or website.
‘walk-in’ is accepted, but pre-booked and Club bookings will have priority.
Pre-booked and Club service is priced according to a menu service, but we are providing simple walk-in repairs at a fixed a la carte cost.
Service or repairs can be queued at the standard price – with no guarantee of a turnaround time.
We’re Green
Bike cleaning is an essential part of any service, we will seek to use the most environmentally friendly, biodegradable and recycled or recyclable items at all times.
We will advertise the ratios of recycled vs landfill waste.
Our energy supplier will be supplying renewable energy.
We will pursue a zero-to-landfill waste policy. Local – Green – Simple Pricing – Excellent Service.

Our Values
Community Focussed
At our workshop, we’re passionate about more than just fixing bikes—we’re here to support and grow the local cycling community.
We believe that cycling is better when it’s shared.
That’s why we offer more than just repairs and servicing.
We regularly run bike maintenance workshops to help riders of all levels understand their bikes better, from basic upkeep to more advanced adjustments.
Whether you’re a daily commuter or a weekend explorer, knowing how to care for your bike can keep you safer, more confident, and save you money in the long run.
The workshops are free, but we ask for a donation to a local charity.
Looking ahead, we’re also planning to launch riding skills workshops.
These will focus on tips and techniques to help you ride smarter and safer—ideal for new cyclists or anyone keen to improve their skills on the road or trail.
By building this kind of hands-on knowledge, we hope to empower riders and strengthen our cycling community.
We’d love for you to get involved—whether it’s joining a course, turning up to a group ride, or simply popping by for a chat.
This isn’t just a workshop, it’s a hub for local riders.
Stay tuned to this page, Google map or join our Facebook for upcoming events, workshops, and ways to connect.
Ride Focussed
At Cycle Central it's all about riding!
Discover our most popular local routes, hand-picked by riders for riders.
Whether you’re after a quick spin or a full-day adventure, our top 10 rides have something for everyone.
Feel free to download them via Strava and share your ride stories with us! No Strava? No problem, just ask and we’ll provide a GPX file or a printed cue sheet.
We’re also building a friendly community through our weekly social rides, held once a week depending on the weather.
These are relaxed, no-drop rides open to everyone*.
It’s a great way to meet fellow riders, explore new routes, and enjoy the ride together.
Join us for our group rides—usually held on Sundays—and be part of our growing cycling community.
Check this page regularly for ride updates, and we’d love to see you out on the road with us!
We also have a group on Strava—come join the club and share your rides, connect with fellow cyclists, and keep the momentum going between meetups.
*Please note that while our group rides are open to all, we kindly advise that they are not suitable for Dutch bikes, Bromptons, hybrids, or e-bikes. We also recommend having cleat pedals.
Sustainable Moves
At our workshop, we care deeply about the environment. By repairing bikes and recycling responsibly, we reduce waste and save valuable resources like metal, plastic, and paper. Every repair helps protect the planet.
